(Spirit Lake)– A local woman has won a new car in a national promotion.
Stephanie Wittrock of Spirit Lake won a new Buick Saturday at Great Lakes G-M/Toyota in Spirit Lake.
Keith Diekevers of Great Lakes G-M/Toyota says the give-away is through On-Star’s national “Hot Button” promotion in which participants push the On-Star button and an operator tells them whether or not they’ve won. Wittrock says she had just looked at a mini-van when an associate asked her to push the On-Star button. Wittrock says she was completely taken by surprise when an operator told her she had won a brand new Buick.
One thousand cars are being given away nationally through the promotion. Only 43 of those are Buicks.
Diekevers says they’re extremely honored to have a local winner.
Wittrock and her husband Randy will find out in the next few days what model of Buick they won. It will have a value of somewhere between 23,500 and 50-thousand dollars.
