(Undated)– Some local communities are among 100 throughout the state participating in a survey conducted by sociologists from Iowa State University.
Kerry Agnitsch of Iowa State University says they’re studying changes that have taken place in the communities in the past 10 years. The findings of this survey will be compared with one conducted in 1994 in the same cities.
Agnitsch says surveys will be sent to 150 randomly selected residents in the participating communities. Anyone getting one is highly urged to fill it out and return it.
Local communities participating in the survey are Albert City, Bancroft, Buffalo Center, Cherokee, Estherville, Everly, George, Graettinger, Hartley, Lake Park, Pocahontas, Pomeroy and Sibley.
The survey is funded by a 210-thousand dollar grant through the U-S Department of Agriculture.
