(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Summer Theatre announced the schedule of productions for its upcoming season during this past weekend’s University of Okoboji Winter Games.
The season starts June 22nd with a family musical titled “Pump Boys and Dinettes”; “Social Security”, an adult comedy, will take the stage June 29th through July 4th; “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie” will be performed July 6th through the 11th; another adult comedy, “Twice Around The Park”, will be on the stage July 13th through the 18th; a family musical, “Meshuggah-Nuns”, will be featured July 20th through the 25th; “D A” takes to the stage July 27th through August 1st; “Romantic Comedy”, an adult comedy, will be performed August 3rd through the 8th; “Grace and Glorie” will take the stage August 10th through the 15th; and the season will close with a musical “Gypsy” August 17th through the 22nd.
Bob Bringle, an OST board member, tells KUOO news one of the highlights of the season will be the return of Addison Myers in the production “D A”. It’s been several years since Myers was last at Okoboji Summer theatre.
Bringle says this year’s productions will consist of smaller casts than in the past.
