(Milford)– A Spirit Lake man sustained minor injuries in a roll-over Monday evening about a mile east of Milford.
The Iowa State Patrol says 21-year-old Erik Hansen was eastbound on Dickinson county road A-34 and was attempting to pass another vehicle when his rear tires slipped, causing him to lose control. The Dodge pickup Hansen was driving left the road and went into the north ditch where it rolled, coming to rest on the passenger side.
Hansen sustained some minor facial abrasions. He was treated on the scene by the Milford Rescue Unit, but wasn’t taken to the hospital.
Hansen was charged with failure to maintain control.
The pickup was totaled.
The mishap took place shortly before 10:30 p.m.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Milford Police Department and Milford Fire and Rescue.
