Arnolds Park Levy To Remain Steady

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– The property tax asking for the city of Arnolds Park for the upcoming fiscal year is going to stay about the same as it is currently.

City Administrator Ron Walker says expenditures and revenues will remain about the same, with the exception being in the amount of money received from the state. Like all other Iowa cities, Walker says Arnolds Park will be seeing a reduction as well. The amount of state funding the city receives has been cut by nearly 25-thousand dollars. Walker says they’ve been able to make that up by not hiring a replacement for a full-time maintenance worker who recently retired.

Walker says the city also saw a two to three percent growth in its valuation…which also helps offset the cuts.
