(Spencer)– A Spencer man faces charges of sexual abuse following an all-night party in December.
20-year-old Patrick Shane Bishop of Spencer is charged with third degree sexual abuse, a class “C” felony.
Bishop is alleged to have had non-concensual sex with a 19-year-old female after an all-night party in Spencer in early December of last year. DNA samples were collected from Bishop and the victim and sent to the DCI crime lab in Des Moines. Authorities say test results indicated a DNA match from the samples.
Bishop is being held in the Clay county jail on bond of 13-thousand dollars.
If convicted, he faces 10 years in prison and a 10-thousand dollar fine.
