Granville Man Dies Of Injuries Sustained In Farm Accident

(Paullina)– A farm accident in O’Brien county has claimed the life of a Granville man.

Sheriff Mike Anderson says his office received a call shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday to 4934 Redwood Avenue near Paullina regarding a farm accident involving a grinder.

Anderson says the man, identified as 47-year-old Dan Hetlevedt, got caught in the equipment. Hetlevedt was freed by emergency crews and was taken by ambulance to Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar with major injuries to his hand, a leg and arm. He was later pronounced dead.

No other information was being released.
