(Sioux City)– An Ashton man has been sentenced in U-S District Court on a drug charge.
23-year-old Casey Farnsworth was sentenced to time served…or about six months…in federal prison after pleading guilty earlier to a charge of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Farnsworth was also placed on two years’ supervised release following his prison term.
In a plea agreement, Farnsworth admitted he and others distributed five pounds of marijuana.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U-S Attorney Kevin Fletcher. It was investigated by the Clay, Osceola and O’Brien County Sheriff’s Offices, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Iowa State Patrol.
