(Undated)– Four northwest Iowa communities have been awarded grants through the Iowa Finance Authority’s Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program.
Governor Vilsack announced Thursday afternoon that 47 communities have been awarded 84.5 million dollars to help with 60 different affordable housing projects around the state. Four of them are in our area.
The city of Royal will receive 177-thousand dollars to help rehabilitate six older homes.
Other communities in the region receiving grants are Storm Lake, Hull, Hartley and Sioux City.
