(Estherville)– Three people are squaring off in a special election Tuesday (03/09) for Emmet County Treasurer.
Betty Anderson recently retired from the position.
Sandy Guge of Estherville, an employee of the office, was appointed by the board of supervisors to serve the remainder of Anderson’s term. However, a petition was filed resulting in the special election.
In addition to Guge, Vicki Jurrens of Estherville…who also works in the office…and Susan Nelson of Ringsted are also running.
Polls will be open Tuesday (03/09) from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
