Planning Kicks Into High Gear For SL Quasquicentennial

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Planning for Spirit Lake’s Quasquicentennial…the city’s 125th anniversary…is kicking into high gear.

MainSail Coordinator Blain Andera says two planning meeting were held this week to start identifying possible events. He says he was very pleased with the attendance and the interest that was expressed.

Andera says several ideas were brought up for possible events, including things such as a parade, picnic-in-the-park, all-school reunion, kids games and so on. Andera says they also want to work closely with the Dickinson County Museum and the Historical Society.

Another planning meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 15th in the Board Room at First Bank and Trust.
