(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop early Saturday morning in Spirit Lake resulted in drug and alcohol charges being filed against two men and a male juvenile.
Police say officers pulled over a vehicle shortly before 2:30 a.m. being driven by 20-year-old Calvin Ferguson of Jackson, Minnesota.
Upon further investigation Ferguson was placed in custody for an .02 violation.
A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several containers of alcohol.
Ferguson was booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of alcohol under the legal age; no insurance and a .02 violation.
A passenger, 20-year-old Dillon Miner of Spirit Lake, was cited and released on a charge of possession of alcohol under the legal age.
Another passenger, a juvenile who’s name wasn’t released, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol under the legal age. The teen was referred to juvenile court services.
