(Milford)– The Milford Fire Department was called to a brush and timber fire around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday a mile south and east of Horseshoe Bend.
Fire Chief Don Eckard says a landowner was burning some brush when the fire got out of control and quickly spread. He estimates about five or six acres of brush and timber burned, along with two old out-buildings.
Eckard says rough terrain made the fire hard to get at.
No injuries were reported.
Milford firefighters were on the scene about two hours.
