(Terril)– A traffic stop over the weekend near Terril landed the driver of a semi in jail on drug and alcohol-related charges.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a semi that was traveling north on 310th Avenue north of Terril for a traffic offense.
A subsequent search of the semi led to the discovery of rock cocaine, drug paraphernalia and beer.
The driver, 39-year-old James Kilen of Farnhamville, Iowa was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…cocaine; drug paraphernalia; prohibited acts; a drug tax stamp violation and carrying alcohol in the cab of a semi.
Kilen was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Arnolds Park Police Department’s K-9 Unit.
