ILCC Trustees Vote To Seek Bids On Two Projects

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– The Board of Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College Tuesday gave the go-ahead for a planned addition to the Algona Campus and on the purchase of a wind turbine for a new academic program.

The trustees voted to get bids on a 30 by 80 foot addition to the Algona Campus that would house labs and classrooms as the college expands its evening and weekend nursing program.

They also decided to seek bids on a wind turbine that would be erected at the Estherville Campus. College officials say it would provide lab opportunities for students in the college’s new Wind Energy and Turbine Technology Program. The college recently received permission to offer the program through the State Board of Education.

The next meeting of the ILCC Board of Trustees is set for Tuesday, May 18th in Spirit Lake.
