November 22, 2014

(Terril)– A rural Terril man was injured when a semi ran into a car he was driving Wednesday afternoon near Terril.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 75-year-old Charles Berg of Terril was westbound on 260th Street and was approaching 225th Avenue when a 1991 Freightliner driven by 50-year-old Bruce Terry Plucker of Curlew ran a stop sign, broadsiding the car driven by Berg.

Berg was taken by ambulance to Spencer hospital. There was no immediate word on the extent of his injuries.

No injuries were reported to Plucker.

Plucker was arrested and charged with possesion of methamphetamine…third offense…a class “D” felony; possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and failure to obey a stop sign. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail.

The Sheriff’s Office says additional charges may be filed against Plucker pending the outcome of chemical testing.

The crash took place around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Milford Fire Department, Milford Rescue and a D-O-T Inspection Officer.
