Search Of Spencer Apartment Results In Drug Charges Against Two People (1)

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Two Spencer residents were arrested on narcotics charges over the weekend as the result of a search of a Spencer apartment.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a search warrant was executed Sunday evening on the Jean and Michael Roland Brown residence at 215 and-a-half Grand Avenue in Spencer.

Authorities say the search, part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, was conducted shortly before 6:00 p.m. It turned up multiple packages of controlled substances, weapons, paraphernalia and cash.

21-year-old Michael Roland Brown and 19-year-old Miranda Mae Moriston…also of Spencer…were arrested and booked into the Clay county jail.

Several pieces of property were seized and authorities say forfeiture proceedings will be initiated where applicable.

Brown was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at 65,325-dollars.

Moriston was charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia. She’s being held on 2,275-dollars bond.

Clay county authorities say their investigation continues and more arrests are likely.
