Clay Co. Woman Sentenced On Meth Charges

(Sioux City)– A Clay county woman has been setenced in Federal Court after pleading guilty to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine.

34-year-old Tammy Louise McGrew of rural Clay county was sentenced to 52 months in federal prison for manufacturing more than a quarter pound of methamphetamine.

In a plea agreement, McGrew admitted that between about 1997 and August 3rd, 2003 she and others manufactured and distributed methamphetamine and participated in atleast 15 methamphetamine cooks using anhydrous ammonia, producing atleast 156 grams of meth.

Following the prison term, McGrew must also serve five years of supervised release.

McGrew is being held in the custody of the U-S Marshal until she can be transported to a federal prison.
