(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Police Department and Dickinson County Attorney’s Office held a press conference this (Tuesday) afternoon to announce additional details into arrests made in the “Broken Arrow” drug and weapons investigation.
To date, Assistant County Attorney Melanie Summers Bauler says charges have been filed against 18 of 25 suspects in the case. She declined comment on the remaining seven, saying federal indictments are pending against atleast some of them.
Spirit Lake Police Chief Jeff Hanson says the community should rest assured in that investigations such as this are making a serious inroad on drug and weapons activity in the area.
Hanson also recalled the height of the investigation on April 27th when most of the arrests were made. He says 28-30 local and state agencies were involved and worked from 7:00 a.m. that morning until 1:00 a.m. the next morning in rounding up suspects.
Hanson declined to comment on the type of weapons they found and on the origin of the drugs.
Those arrested and charged so far include 20-year-old Antonio Bandomo of Albert City who was apprehended south of Milford April 27th on charges of delivery or possession with intent to deliver marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp; 23-year-old Johnathon Barber of Spirit Lake was arrested April 27th in Arnolds Park on charges of delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine; introducing a controlled substance into a detention facility; and possession of marijuana…third offense.
31-year-old Rebecca Baumgart of Milford was arrested April 27th for possession of marijuana; 27-year-old Jean Brown of Spencer was arrested April 27th south of Milford for possession with intent to deliver marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp; 21-year-old Reid Chapman of Spirit Lake was arrested April 27th in Spirit Lake and charged with delivery of marijuana; 19-year-old Joshua Currier of Spirit Lake was arrested April 27 for delivery or possession with intent to deliver marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp; 21-year-old Abby Ferguson of Spirit Lake was arrested in Harris on outstanding warrants stemming from complaints filed on April 26th charging her with ongoing criminal conduct and two counts of delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and conspiracy.
18-year-old Shaun Fox of Spirit Lake was arrested April 27th in Spirit Lake and charged with ongoing criminal conduct; two counts of delivery or possession with intent to deliver marijuana; failure to affix a drug tax stamp and unlawful possession of a prescription drug; 21-year-old Jeremy Hoffman of Milford was arrested April 27th in Milford on charges of ongoing criminal conduct, two counts of delivery or possession with intent to deliver meth; delivery or possession with intent to deliver marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
19-year-old Matthew Krogman-Meyer of Spirit Lake was arrested April 27th in Okoboji on charges of delivery or possession with intent to deliver marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp; Trishelle Bremer of Spirit Lake was arrested April 27th in Spirit Lake on charges of ongoing criminal conduct, delivery or possession with intent to deliver cocaine; four counts of delivery or possession with intent to deliver marijuana; three counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp; solicitation; two counts of prohibited acts; possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
21-year-old Kamie Loerch of Milford was arrested April 27th in Milford on charges of delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver a simulated or counterfeit controlled substance; 38-year-old Ricky Osler of Milford turned himself in May 4th after receiving information that warrants had been issued for his arrest. He was charged with aiding and abetting the manufacture of methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance precursor; possession of methamphetamine…third or subsequent offense; and felon in possession of a firearm.
25-year-old Jacob Paskert of Lake Park turned himself in May 7th after receiving information that warrants had been issued for is arrest. He was charged with ongoing criminal conduct; two counts of delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine; failure to affix a drug tax stamp; conspiracy and prohibited acts.
24-year-old Bryan Rickman of Spirit Lake was arrested April 27th in Spirit Lake and charged with delivery or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and delivery or possession with intent to deliver marijuana; 22-year-old Conregan Robinson of Elkhart, Indiana was arrested April 27th in Milford on a charge of possession with intent to deliver ecstasy and failure to affix a drug tax stamp; and 34-year-old Heath Willison of Milford was arrested April 27th in Milford and charged with ongoing criminal conduct; delivery of marijuana; two counts of delivery of methamphetamine; conspiracy; prohibited acts; and possession of marijuana.
In addition, 24-year-old Annett Loerch of Spirit Lake is wanted on an arrest warrant. She remains at-large. Anyone knowing her whereabouts is asked to contact the Spirit Lake Police Department or your nearest law enforcement agency.
Most of the suspects have posted bond and are out of jail on promises to appear in court. Most are scheduled to make their first court appearance July 24th.
