(Sioux Rapids)– An investigation into an assault that occurred back in February of this year has resulted in drug charges being filed against a rural Sioux Rapids man.
The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office says the February 11th incident resulted in Storm Lake police and the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office obtaining and executing a search warrnat on a rural Sioux Rapids residence. It resulted in authorities finding a quantity of suspected controlled substances that were seized as evidence.
Based on test results by the DCI Crime Lab, authorities have now charged 50-year-old Timothy Humes of rural Sioux Rapids with one count of possession of a controlled substance.
He was booked into the Buena Vista county jail and was released after making an initial court appearance.
