New Spec Building To Be Constructed In Estherville

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– A new industrial spec building will soon be going up in Estherville.

Al Blum, Chairman of the Estherville Industrial Development Corporation’s board of directors, says the new 30,000 square foot spec building will be constructed on five acres of land at the corner of South 19th Street and Ninth Avenue South in Estherville…in the city’s industrial park.

Blum says construction will start in July, with completion slated for November.

The project is being financed by Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative, the Estherville Industrial Development Corporation and Steve Christensen, who’s company, Christensen Construction, will construct the building.

Blum says having a spec building available is a valuable tool for economic development. He says they’ve had a very good track record in the past. Blum says Holiday Express, GKN Armstrong Wheel, Medieval Glass Industries and Global Equipment and Manufacturing all located in spec buildings in Estherville.
