MainSail Selling Sesquicentennial Prints

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake MainSail is selling a print featuring historic uptown Spirit Lake as a fundraiser for the city’s sesquicentennial celebration.

The print, by Armstrong artist J.D. Speltz, features an overview of downtown Spirit Lake looking to the southwest from the corner of Hill Avenue and Lake Street. It features the historic Antler’s Hotel, the Edward Jones Building and the original Dickinson County Courthouse in the background.

MainSail Coordinator Blaine Andera tells KUOO news Speltz worked on the print off a 1918 postcard.

The prints sell for $29.95 each. $15.00 of each sale goes toward the Sesquicentennial celebration. Framing and matting is also available at an additional cost.

You can see the print at the Spirit Lake MainSail office. Orders may also be placed there.

The print will be on sale during the month of June only.
