(Spirit Lake)– A pickup was heavily damaged by fire Thursday evening in Spirit Lake.
Fire Chief Wally Jorgenson says Spirit Lake firefighters were called around 9:00 p.m. to 2408 25th Street lot 85 in Center Lake Village.
Upon arriving, Jorgenson says they found a 1999 Ford pickup on fire.
Firefighters quickly doused the blaze, which Jorgenson says started in the dash. He believes it may have been the result of an electrical short. Jorgenson says a neighbor reported hearing the pick-up’s horn going off periodically before the fire broke out.
No injuries were reported, and Jorgenson says no homes were threatened as a result of the blaze.
Spirit Lake firefighters were on the scene about a half hour.
