(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop early this (Thursday) morning in Spirit Lake has landed a Milford man in jail on a drug charge.
Police say they pulled over a vehicle on Highways nine and Ithaca Avenue shortly after midnight for a traffic violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the discovery of a substance believed to be marijuana.
The driver, 18-year-old Ryan Scott Winters of Milford, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance-marijuana…a serious misdemeanor.
Winters was booked into the Dickinson county jail pending an appearance before a judge.
Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
