November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– Three people were injured Thursday in a collision on East Lake Okoboji involving a personal watercraft and a pontoon.

Bill Stump, an officer with the D-N-R’s Lakes Patrol, tells KUOO news it happened around 3:18 p.m. in the Moore Lake Area east of Arnolds Park.

The injured persons are indentified as Stacy Wall of Altoona; Courtney Greteman of Norwalk and Adrienne D’Agastino of Maquoketa. All three were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. There was no word on the extent of their injuries.

Two of the injured, it’s not certain which two, were on the PWC; the third person that was injured was a passenger on the pontoon that had jumped into the water to assist those on the personal water craft.

No charges have been filed in the incident, which remains under investigation.

The Lakes Patrol was assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance, Arnolds Park Fire and Rescue and the Arnolds Park Police Department.
