West Okoboji Receives Deed To Fuller Park

November 22, 2014

(West Okoboji)– The city of West Okoboji has a new park.

The Dickinson Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation recently transferred ownership of Fuller Park, located in Maywood, to the city of West Okoboji. The deed was presented to West Okoboji Mayor Howard Titterington.

The property was owned by the Fuller family for many years. Marian Fuller Rinehart donated the property to the Dickinson Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation in early 2003 with the intent the property be perpetually designated as a park.

Foundation Treasurer and West Okoboji resident Orville Berg says the transfer of ownership of the park represents two years of planning and work.

The park is located across from Snook’s Carpet on old Highway 71 in West Okoboji’s Maywood area.
