(Arnolds Park)– The sale of Arnolds Park’s pumper truck is a done deal.
The city council Wednesday officially approved selling the truck to the Van Meter Fire Department for 70-thousand dollars. The action followed a public hearing that drew no opposition.
In other business, the council set July 14th as the date for a public hearing on a resolution of intent to sell city-owned property adjacent to the intersection of Dam Road and Helms Drive; they approved the relocation of a fire hydrant that’s currently in a parking lot between Walker Insurance and the former Kurio Castle Building; and they approved the appointment of Al Krueger as Police Chief, replacing Clark Reekers who will soon be stepping down.
Krueger is currently the department’s Assistant Chief.
