(Dickens)– A Dickens man was injured in a one-vehicle rollover early Friday (6/25) near Gillett Grove.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the mishap took place just after midnight on County Road M-54 about a mile southeast of Gillett Grove.
Authorities say Jeff Williamson of Dickens was northbound on M-54 when he lost control of a 1987 Dodge Dakota pickup on a curve at 440th Street. The truck slid sideways into the ditch where it rolled several times. Williamson laid at the scene until he was discovered at daylight.
Williamson suffered injuries to his legs and head and complained of back pain. He was taken to the Spencer Municipal Hospital where he’s listed in fair condition.
Williamson was charged with having no insurance and failure to have control.
The Dickens Rescue and Spencer Ambulance assisted at the scene.
