(Hartley)– A farm accident has claimed the life of an O’Brien county man.
The Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of a farm accident around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday three miles east of Hartley on Yew Avenue.
Authorities say 60-year-old Rick Zieman was mowing a ditch with a farm tractor when he struck a culvert, causing the tractor to roll over on top of him.
The Hartley Fire and Ambulance Teams responded to the scene and extricated Zieman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
