(Lake Park)– A Harris woman was injured in a one-vehicle Tuesday evening on 220th Street near the intersection with 120th Avenue 10 miles west of Milford.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Aaron Hoftzer of Hartley was on or near the yellow line as he came over the crest of a hill. Hoftzer then pulled back into his lane.
The driver of an oncoming vehicle, 35-year-old Anita Shiphoff of Harris, noticed Hoftzer swerve into her lane. She pulled to the right in an evasive action, causing her to lose control. The vehicle Shiphoff was driving left the road and rolled in the north ditch.
Shiphoff was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. There was no information on the extent of her injuries.
No injuries were reported to Hoftzer.
Authorities had to remove the top of Shiphoff’s car to get to her.
12-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2002 Pontiac driven by Shiphoff. No damage was reported to a 2001 Chevrolet pickup driven by Hoftzer.
The mishap took place shortly before 7:00 p.m.
No charges were filed.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Park Ambulance and Lake Park Fire and Rescue.
