(Undated)– The filing period for September school board elections opened last week.
In Harris-Lake Park the District one seat held by Dan Brueker and District four seat held by Art Schumacher is up.
In Okoboji the seats held by Kurt Eckard and Ryan Rohlk will be on the ballot.
And in Spirit Lake the at-large seats held by Ann Goerss and Beth Will expire this year.
In Terril two seats will be filled by voters. Bill Gerdeman resigned from the board in May and was replaced by Amy Woodruff, who’s name will be on the ballot for voters to ratify. President Kelvin Sawyer was re-elected last year but has also announced his intention to resign in September. That seat will be the ballot.
The deadline to file nomination papers is Thursday, August 5th.
School board elections in Iowa will be held Tuesday, September 14th.
