(Spirit Lake)– One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening just south of Spirit Lake.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says vehicles driven by Rebecca Goeken of Everly and Lois Lynn of Spirit Lake collided at the intersection of Erie Avenue and 165th Street…or Hawn Road…shortly before 7:30 p.m.
Lynn and a passenger in the Goeken vehicle, Kathy Goeken, were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. Both were treated and released.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1999 Dodge driven by Goeken and to a 1998 Ford Windstar van driven by Lynn.
Authorities say Goeken was westbound on 165th Street and Lynn was eastbound on 165th Street and was turning left onto Erie Avenue when the two collided.
Lynn was charged with failure to yield.
