Arrest Made In OHS Burglary

(Milford)– An arrest has been made in connection with a burglary earlier this year at Okoboji High School.

Milford police say an ongoing investigation resulted in them arresting a male juvenile from Milford around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The name of the juvenile, who’s a student at Okoboji High School, wasn’t released.

The suspect has been charged with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony; theft in the second degree…also a class “D” felony; and criminal mischief in the fifth degree…a simple misdemeanor.

Authorities say Okoboji High School was burglarized on or about January 24th of this year. A stolen key was used to get into the building. Several locked filing cabinets were broken into. A large amount of cash and checks were reported missing.

Milford police say their investigation is ongoing and more charges may be filed.
