(Wahpeton)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources Monday (7/26) removed the swimming advisory that had been in effect for Emerson Bay on West Lake Okoboji.
The advisory was posted a week ago after tests detected high levels of bacteria at the beach.
The D-N-R says bacteria levels often increase after heavy rains and can return to normal in a few days.
