(Spirit Lake)– The Board of Trustees of Lakes Regional Healthcare Monday awarded a bid for an expansion project at Lakes Family Practice.
The bid was awarded to Brown Construction of North Sioux City, South Dakota…the apparent low bidder at 457-thousand dollars.
Jennifer Hickerson, the hospital’s Marketing Director, tells KUOO news the addition of a physican is what led up to the expansion…which will include some remodeling of existing offices along with three new exam rooms.
Hickerson says construction will start this coming September with completion a year or so from now.
She says the hospital will be reimbursed for the project through an agreement with Avera Health Systems, which leases the facility from Lakes Regional Healthcare.
