(Spencer)– An Everly man has been arrested for harrassing the owner of the Royal Wedding Chapel.
Clay county authorities began their investigation after a threatening message was left on the answering machine of Lee Youde back on July 16th. The message was in relation to a yard ornament stolen from Youde earlier this month.
As part of their investigation, deputies interviewed area residents, local and long distance phone companies and Youde several times. They determined the message was meant to be a practical joke, not a death threat.
Thursday deputies arrested 24-year-old Mark Foss of Everly and charged him with harrassment. He was booked into the Clay county jail and later released pending a future court date.
