(Undated)– Some Dickinson county school boards will have new faces on them after next month’s school board elections.
Two open seats will be on the ballot in the Okoboji district. Chairman Kurt Eckard is not seeking re-election. Incumbent Ryan Rohlk is seeking another term and Phil Miklo is looking to get on the board.
In the Terril district, Incumbent Larry Flaherty is seeking election to a three-year term while Amy Woodruff, who was appointed to fill a vacant one year term, will face off against Teri Moyer. Deborah Powell and Craig Von Ehwegen will square off to fill a vacant two-year term.
Incumbents Dan Breuker and Arthur Schumacher are unopposed for their District one and District four seats respectively in the Harris-Lake Park district.
And in Spirit Lake, incumbents Ann Goerss and Beth Will are unopposed for their respective seats.
The filing deadline was last Thursday, August 5th.
There are no director district seats opn this year for Iowa Lakes Community College trustees. However, residents will vote on an instructional equipment levy for the college.
School board elections will be held statewide in Iowa Tuesday, September 14th.
