(Arnolds Park)– The board of directors of the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum elected new officers at their regular monthly meeting today (Fri.).
Al Maser was elected Chairman…succeeding Rick Johnson.
Bob Schneider was elected Vice Chairman; Fred Dowden Treasurer and Dennis Ward Secretary.
New Committee Chairman were also appointed. They include Rick Johnson, Park Operations; Fred Dowden, Budget and Finance; Bob Schneider, Fundraising; Al Maser, Long Term Planning; Mardi Allen, Maritime Museum; Jim Jensen, Queen Two; Mike Zenor, Real Property; and Joe Vanderlaan, Building and Grounds.
The board voted to keep officer and committee chair positions as one-year terms.
The board also reviewed maintenance items that need to be done in the amusement park; voted to drill a test well for water for the Boji Falls plume ride; voted to extend a contract with Call and Associates for a marketing plan; and they agreed to adopt a business plan by mid-October.
