(Estherville)– A high demand continues for nursing programs offered by Iowa Lakes Community College. That was the message Trudy Kattner, Dean of the Algona campus, had for the college’s board of trustees at their regular monthly meeting earlier this week.
Kattner said the college’s Pre-Nursing Program which started a year ago continues to serve the needs of area communities and the desire of students to advance their careers.
Kattner also reported that beginning this fall, the Algona campus will offer an evening and weekend Licensed Practical Nurse, or LPN Program, serving 32 students.
Following the successful launch of the evening/weekend nursing program last fall at Algona, a similar Pre-Nursing Program was launched in Spencer and Spirit Lake in the spring of 2004. Spencer will host an Associate Degree Nursing Program this fall and Spirit Lake will have an evening and weekend LPN Program.
