(Lake Park)– A two-vehicle accident Saturday four miles southwest of Lake Park sent three people to the hospital.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old David Geer of Hutchinson, Minnesota was northbound on 110th Avenue and had entered the intersection with 170th Street when the van he was driving was struck by a car driven by 18-year-old Andrew Sik of Harris who was eastbound on 170th Street. The impact sent the vehicle driven by Geer into the east ditch of 110th Avenue where it flipped onto its side.
Geer, Sik and a 16-year-old passenger in Sik’s vehicle who’s name wasn’t released, were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with unspecified injuries.
Sik was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way at an uncontrolled intersection.
Damage estimates to a 1995 full-sized Ford van driven by Geer and to a 1985 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Sik weren’t available.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Lake Park Police Department, Lake Park Fire and Rescue and the Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance.
