(Sibley)– Osceola county’s Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund is getting a big shot in the arm.
The USDA Rural Development has awarded a 99-thousand dollar grant to the fund, which assists small and emerging private businesses in Osceola county.
A check was presented to Osceola county officials in a ceremony this (Mon.) afternoon at the courthouse in Sibley.
Officials say as many as six businesses could be assisted by the grant, creating more than 30 new jobs for Osceola county.
11.3 million dollars in grants were provided to 83 applicants in 45 states, including three applicants in Iowa totaling more than 200-thousand dollars.
