(Spirit Lake)– A minor house fire this (Monday) afternoon in Spirit Lake resulted in one person being sent to the hospital.
Spirit Lake police and firefighters were called to 2108 Denver Avenue around 2:15 p.m. Upon arriving authorities found a considerable amount of smoke in the residence. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and ventilated the house. One person in the residence was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with an undisclosed injury.
Officials aren’t commenting on the cause of the fire, which apparently started in a living room, where it was contained. They only say the fire was accidental and not suspicious.
Spirit Lake firefighters were on the scene not quite an hour.
