(Greenville)– A Greenville firefighter is in a Sioux Falls hospital after being injured Thursday in a repair shop fire in Greenville.
Firefighters were called to Chad’s Repair Shop Thursday afternoon after getting a report about a pickup truck that was on fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the whole building on fire.
The injured firefighter, who’s name hasn’t been released, was transferred by air to a Sioux Falls hospital where he’s being treated for what was described as “serious” burns.
Officials say the fire apparently started when a hot light was dropped on a floor, igniting some gasoline.
