(Spirit Lake)– Drug charges have been filed against a Spirit Lake man in connection with a weekend traffic stop.
Spirit Lake police say they pulled over a vehicle shortly before 5:00 a.m. Saturday being driven by 24-year-old Joshua Pelisek of Spirit Lake.
A search of the vehicle turned up a green leafy plant-like material believed to be marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Pelisek was charged with operating while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance…both serious misdemeanors; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and prohibited acts…an aggravated misdemeanor.
Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Arnolds Park Police Department’s Canine Unit.
