(Terril)– A Terril woman escaped serious injury in a one-vehicle accident this (Friday) morning north of Terril.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says Laurie Mortenson lost control of a 1991 Buick Sentry when she fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a guard rail and bridge.
An ambulance was called to the scene, but Mortenson declined immediate treatment.
Three thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The mishap took place around 7:49 a.m. two miles north of Terril on county road N-14.
