(Lake Park)– A Lake Park bar was damaged by fire Sunday.
Lake Park Fire Chief Al Detlefsen says firefighters were called to Tobi’s Softail Saloon at 126 Market Street shortly after 6:00 a.m.
Upon arriving Detlefsen says fire could be seen coming from behind the bar area. Crews entered the building with air packs and were able to contain the fire to that area. Smoke damage was reported throughout the structure.
Dave Schipper of the State Fire Marshall’s Office determined the cause was accidental. He says it was traced to a power strip-type extension cord that may have been overloaded.
A dollar amount of damage hasn’t been determined.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which was spotted by a passerby who contacted authorities.
The Lake Park Fire Department was on the scene about two hours Sunday.
