(Spirit Lake)– While verifiying voter registrations has been an issue in some Iowa counties where there have been problems matching social security numbers and people forgetting to check the U-S citizen box, Dickinson County Auditor Nancy Reiman says it really hasn’t been much of an issue here.
Reiman tells KUOO news shortly after the Help America Vote Act went into affect there were about 10 voter registrations that her office had trouble verifying. She says those in question were sent new registration forms and a letter telling them they needed to totally complete the form and return it.
Reiman says as of right now they only have one registration they can’t verify.
