(Spencer)– A Spencer man has been arrested on charges he sexually abused a woman earlier this week.
Police were called Tuesday by a woman stating she had been sexually assaulted in her home at 7:30 that morning. Police reports indicate the suspect, 36-year-old Alfredo Ortiz of Spencer, was inadvertantly allowed to enter the victim’s home. Ortiz is accused of having sexual contact with the woman while she was lying on her couch.
Ortiz was arrested and charged with third degree sex abuse…a class “C” felony. He’s being held in the Clay county jail on a 13-thousand dollar bond.
Another sex abuse case has resulted in the arrest of a Spencer teen. Wednesday, Spencer police arrested 14-year-old Zachary “Jay” Iseminger on a charge of second degree sexual abuse…a class “B” felony.
Police say Iseminger is accused of committing sex acts with two children under the age of 12 over the last two years. The victims were between the ages of eight and 10 years old when the sex acts allegedly occurred.
During the investigation, authorities say additional allegations were made of other possible suspects involved with the sex abuse of one of the victims. The investigation will continue until all leads are exhausted.
Iseminger was released from custody until a future court date.
