(Spirit Lake)– After basking in 70 degree temperatures Sunday, it’s back to reality today (Mon.).
The National Weather Service says Sunday’s balmy temperatures are a thing of the past for now atleast. Temperatures in the 30’s are expected for the upcoming work week, but atleast no major storms are in the forecast.
Scores of people took advantage of Sunday’s 70-degree temperatures and bright sunshine to ride bike, walk, swat around golf balls, and numerous other outdoor activities.
Severe thunderstorms even rumbled across parts of the region last (Sunday) evening producing large hail and gusty winds in some areas. The Iowa Great Lakes Area missed out on that activity.
