(Lake Park)– Patrons of the Harris-Lake Park School District are being asked to participate in a special survey.
Superintendent Tim Christiansen says the survey consists of a needs assessment to identify the school’s strengths and weaknesses. Christiansen says the assessment is an important component of the school’s comprehensive planning process that will enable the Harris-Lake Park district to focus its efforts on specific areas.
Needs assessments are currently being given to students. Christiansen says parents will receive them at upcoming parent-teacher conferences. Citizens of the district not having children in school will be mailed an assessment.
Christiansen urges everyone who receives an assessment to fill it out and return it as soon as possible.
He says school administration and the board of education will carefully review and consider the findings of the assessment once the survey results are in.
